Blackthorn trees are thought to be sacred to, and guarded by beings known as known as the Lunantisidhe (the moon fairy.) It is said that the thorns of a Blackthorn tree should not be cut on Beltane, or Samhain, as these being will inflict peril.
The Lunantisidhe earrings are crafted from sterling silver Blackthorns, along with sterling silver earring posts and butterfly backs. The earrings weigh __g and are __mm in size.
These earrings have been oxidised to bring out the textured surfaces. Sterling silver may further oxidise over time due to the skins natural oils.
