The 'Cursed' studs feature intricately textured blackthorns, and are a slightly longer version of the original 'Blackthorn' studs. The Blackthorn tree has long been feared and believed to be a tree that brings with it bad omens and curses, but also has a history of being used in protective charms, spells and amulets.
The thorns, earrings posts and backs are all made in sterling silver. The studs are 4.5cm long.
These studs have been oxidised to bring out the textured surfaces. Sterling silver may further oxidise over time due to the skins natural oils.
