The 'Keyholder' necklace has been crafted from an antique shield, which has been hand carved and transformed into an antique keyhole like would be used with an antique skeleton key. The keyhole is a liminal space, the threshold that sits between one place to another, and a portal to those who hold the key.
The pendant sits upon a patterned bail which is hung from a 45cm sterling silver fine figaro chain.
This necklace has been oxidised to bring out the textured surfaces. Sterling silver may further oxidise over time due to the skins natural oils.
