'The Uncoiling' mini series is the second half of the Winter Solstice Collection. I wanted to create a collection of pieces representing the descent into darkness as we approach the Solstice, and a collection of work that represents the uncoiling that many of us feel with the slow return of sunlight. The serpent in this series represents renewal, the shedding of the old self, and the return of light.
The first amulet I created for the series features a downward pointing triangle, the symbol of the element water, a small crescent moon and a snake slithering down towards the depths. This is the beginning point, down in the depths of the Underworld, where the Uncoiling begins to unfurl. This amulet has had no chain as yet, and the length and type of chain will left to the buyers discretion. Please be aware that extra fees will be incurred after purchase depending on the style of chain used and the length. Alternatively this piece can be purchased alone as a pendant.
This amulet has been oxidised to bring out the surface textures, sterling silver may further darken an oxidise over time due to the skins natural oils.
